Raindrop is an experiment playing with the waste materials that are byproducts of the iterative design process (including paint, paper, and threads).
Through a series of exploration of the material qualities of these objects, I observed the interesting compositions created by soaked threads that had been left on paper for a period of time.
I put pins on through anchor points of each letter (set in Stencil), and wrapped the threads around the pins on another piece of paper underneath. After they dried, I extracted the texture marks left by the threads, and compiled them into an abstract illegible typeface, which I named Raindrop - an object that symbolises ephemerality.
